Who Are We?
Common Good Bookkeeping Cooperative (CGBC) is an employee-owned cooperative based in Madison, Wisconsin. Yet we serve clients all around the nation, just as our members and employees work in different areas of the nation!
Our competently invested team consists of licensed CPAs and highly trained accounting and bookkeeping professionals.
Our Mission?
- Enfranchise smaller businesses, non-profits, cooperatives, and individuals in support of grassroots economies.
- Increase the number of worker cooperatives
- Create an ecosystem working towards collective liberation and justice
How?
By providing our clients with affordable, quality financial services we support and encourage strong and socially responsible businesses. When there is opportunity we facilitate relationships between these organizations in an effort to create a truly robust network of solidarity.
Our financial services include accounting, taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, financial consulting, and outsourced CFO capacities. As we grow and iterate we strive to maintain equitable hourly rates that are below the current market
What Makes Us Different?
LGBTQ-friendly and employee-owned; our employees to some extent also reflect the clients we aim to serve or impact directly or indirectly.
Solidarity Rate for our employees allows us to provide livable wages and necessary benefits in which every hour of effort in a given month is worth the same.
